Meet our dedicated Saturday and Sunday coaching teams
Leading our Saturday and Sunday programs
My name is Jenny Phy-Lim and I am a first year Neuroscience Master Student at Carleton University. I have 5 years of volleyball playing experience, where I play in Honeydew, Carleton University Women's Volleyball club (CUWVB), and Mystics (9-man). I first started as a TTVG coach 3 years ago for both children and youth and have been continuing with specializing my coaching style to be more fitted with children.
I haven't stopped coaching for TTVG as they provide opportunities for children within my local area to not only ignite their passion and potential in volleyball but to also create an identity, promote collaboration and self-confidence. I hope the children I coach will carry on what they've learned and memorable memories throughout their lives.
"The beginning is always the hardest- that's when most people quit. But champions are made from those who stay consistent and constantly push to their limits. Your efforts will pay off."
Hey, I'm Jason and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Computer Science with a minor in Psychology. I have been playing volleyball since 2018 and have over three years of coaching experience, working with athletes of all ages from middle school students to adults. In 2022, I also played as a setter for Carleton's Men's Volleyball team.
One of my greatest passions outside of academics is teaching. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant and Mentor at Carleton University and have taken on various tutoring roles since high school. What motivates me most is seeing the excitement and confidence that students gain when they make progress and achieve something they once thought was out of reach.
As Program Coordinator for TTVG this year, I hope to continue building this passion by creating an environment where players can learn, grow, and enjoy the sport while also being part of a strong and supportive community.
"Progress starts with patience, practice, and the belief that improvement is always possible."
